Spring Break starts here! SPRING THING 5K that is.
Chip-timed race with cool swag and tech tee for the runners benefits the CORE 4 STEM program of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber’s educational foundation.

What is STEM ?

S.T.E.M. = Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics The STEM Expo provides 7th and 8th grade students exposure to leaders in energy, science, computer, and aerospace industries. The focus of the STEM Expo is for our youth to gain the skills required to succeed in today's challenging world. This includes the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and drive advancements in science and technology. Students get to interact with large companies and government agencies and learn about careers in growth mode and San Antonio develops a more prepared workforce.

What: 5K chip-timed Run at the picturesque Éilan 
When: March 16, 2013 at 8am
Where: Éilan in San Antonio, TX
Éilan is located at 17101 La Cantera Parkway, San Antonio, TX 78256 near the intersection of Loop 1604/IH10. Convenient on-site parking is free and available for up to 1000 cars.

Driving directions:

  • From IH10 due West: exit Camp Bullis, take the turn-around, proceed onto the access road to Éilan. Take the 2nd entrance. Parking garages are to the right in the commercial buildings
  • From IH10 due East: exit Camp Bullis, proceed on access road to Éilan. Take the 2nd entrance. Parking garages are to the right in the commercial buildings

PACKET PICK-UP:
1. Fri, Mar 15 at The Athletes Foot, 923 N Loop 1604 E, from 3-6pm.  If you are from out of town, you may pick up your packet on race day at 7am.
